Definition Of Extrinsic Evidence:


n Evidence that pertains to a contract, but is not contained with the "four corners" of the contract document; generally offered to contradict or explain the terms of the written document.
  Extrinsic evidence is generally not permitted unless the contract is ambiguous on its face.
